Beta-carotene is a fat-soluble carotenoid, recognizable by its yellow to orange-red color. In formulation work, two properties largely determine its suitability: it dissolves in oil but not in water. When the final system needs a liquid dispersion, an oil suspension or emulsion may therefore be a better choice than a crystalline powder

The product page presents specifications for both high-purity material and standard 10% grades. Before production and labeling, the final COA should clearly state whether the order is for material with ≥95% purity or for a 10% standardized grade. Protection from light and oxygen also matters, since the listed quality profile includes color and UV absorbance at approximately 450 nm.
