Among the branched-chain amino acids, L-Leucine is often the most formulation-critical in amino acid and protein-based sports nutrition products, largely because of its established role in signaling muscle protein synthesis. Supplied as a white crystalline powder, this grade has an assay of 98.5–101.5% and a controlled specific rotation of +14.9° to +17.3°, giving buyers a way to confirm the expected L-isomer profile.

For powder blends, controlling moisture helps maintain flowability and blend stability. The product has a loss-on-drying limit of ≤0.20%, a residue-on-ignition limit of ≤0.40%, and a pH range of 5.5–7.0. It can be used in BCAA powders, protein supplements, instantized nutrition formulas, and amino-acid premixes.
