Under the current product specification, STPP content must be ≥85.0%, while water-insoluble matter must be ≤0.1%. That low insoluble-matter limit matters when the material needs to dissolve or disperse evenly throughout a formulation.
For food-related applications, the limits for fluoride, arsenic, and lead are especially relevant: fluoride must be ≤0.005%, arsenic ≤0.0003%, and lead ≤0.0002%.
