Microcrystalline Cellulose PH112 is a purified, partially depolymerized cellulose grade rather than a water-soluble cellulose ether like CMC. With its degree of polymerization controlled at ≤350, it meets a defining criterion for MCC and functions as a compressible solid excipient in tablets and capsules.

PH112 has a defined particle-size profile: no more than 8% of the material is retained on 60 mesh, while at least 45% is retained on 200 mesh. That granulometry matters for powder handling, blend uniformity, and direct compression. The grade also sets limits of ≤75 μS/cm for conductivity, ≤1.5% for loss on drying, ≤0.25% for water-soluble substances, and ≤0.05% for ether-soluble substances—technical criteria that give buyers more than a generic description of cellulose powder.
