Beta-Alanine is a beta-amino acid provided as a white crystalline material, with an assay range of 98.0%–101.0%. In sports-nutrition formulations, the selection criteria should center on active assay, flow characteristics, particle form, and impurity controls—not appearance by itself.
The current specification sets loss on drying at no more than 0.20%, with a pH range of 6.5–7.5, along with microbiological controls appropriate for quality evaluation. Before production and labeling, the final COA should verify the selected product form, assay, particle profile, and applicable contaminant limits.
