Overview

Panax Ginseng Extract is a botanical ingredient made from the root and standardized according to its total ginsenoside content, not one isolated compound. By HPLC, this grade contains total ginsenosides at ≥3.0%, including the key marker compounds Rg1, Re, Rf, Rb1, Rc, Rb2, and Rd. For formulators, measuring several markers provides a more meaningful basis for assessing raw-material consistency than relying on a generic ginseng powder claim.

The extract is made using an ethanol/water system and supplied as a light brownish-yellow powder, with 100% passing through 80 mesh. Residual ethanol is kept below 0.5%, pesticides at no more than 10 ppb, heavy metals at no more than 10 ppm, and the total aerobic count at no more than 1,000 CFU/g. It is suitable for developing capsules, tablets, powdered beverages, sachets, and topical beauty formulations.
