Calcium Carbonate Granular is used in food and nutrition formulas that require a concentrated calcium source in a free-flowing granular form. The current grade contains 98.0%–100.5% CaCO3, with hydrochloric-acid-insoluble matter limited to ≤0.20% and loss on drying to ≤2.0%. For calcium-fortified powders, premixes, and solid dosage forms, purchasing decisions should consider more than the CaCO3 assay. The selected particle form and its compatibility with the formulation matter as well.
